Children's corner at the Thessaloniki International Book Fair

As part of its programme to promote reading in Greece and abroad, EKEBI organises the Thessaloniki International Book Fair every May. The purpose of the Fair is to present the wealth of Greek and foreign books produced to professionals, the mass media, schools and the general public.

At the fair, EKEBI emphasises on the involvement of school pupils and children in general.  A Children’s Corner is set up at the Fair offering a series of book-related activities which are aimed at groups of pupils.
More than 50,000 people have visited the Children’s Corner in its first five years. Art classes, presentations, library games, publisher events, theatrical events and games, creative writing events, and storytelling are just some of the activities which take place each year, with a different focus each time.
